"And his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do." — Judges 14:10 (ASV)

Went down to the woman. —Formally, to claim her as the bride of his son.

Made there a feast. —According to the universal custom in all ages (Genesis 29:22; Revelation 19:9). The Septuagint adds the words seven days .
