SCRIPTURE

"And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound." — Judges 16:10 (ASV)

Now tell me, please. —Delilah would, of course, tell Samson that the scene had been merely playful jest, and that she had said, Philistines upon thee, Samson! only to be delighted with one fresh exhibition of his great strength, if he really had not revealed the secret. She would represent her desire to know as due only to loving curiosity.
