Charles Ellicott Commentary

Charles Ellicott Commentary
"Or if the raw flesh turn again, and be changed unto white, then he shall come unto the priest; and the priest shall look on him; and, behold, if the plague be turned into white, then the priest shall pronounce [him] clean [that hath] the plague: he is clean." — Leviticus 13:16-17 (ASV)
Or if the raw flesh turn again. —Rather, yet if the sound flesh changes again and becomes, etc. As soon, however, as the patches of sound flesh resume the white colour, so that the whole body is again white without exhibiting any spots, the patient is to present himself to the priest. After verifying this, the priest will pronounce him clean.
