Charles Ellicott Commentary Leviticus 14:47

"And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes." — Leviticus 14:47 (ASV)

And he that lieth in the house. —As remaining in it all night was more serious than a momentary entrance, it involved washing the garments before the person so defiled could be clean. The same was true if anyone ate a meal in it.
