SCRIPTURE

"or a man that is broken-footed, or broken-handed," — Leviticus 21:19 (ASV)

Brokenfooted, or brokenhanded. —This refers to someone with a poorly healed fractured foot or hand, because in ancient times such injuries were rarely properly treated. Due to the limited surgical knowledge and lack of skill in setting fractures, many people in the community had to endure the debilitating effects of such injuries.
