"And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the set feasts of Jehovah." — Leviticus 23:44 (ASV)

And Moses declared. —In accordance with the command which Moses received , he explained to the children of Israel the number and motive of these festivals. This verse therefore forms an appropriate conclusion to the whole chapter.
