Charles Ellicott Commentary Leviticus 25:12

"For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field." — Leviticus 25:12 (ASV)

Ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field. —Better, You shall eat its produce from the field. Because it is the Jubilee, which must be observed as a sacred institution, the spontaneous produce of this year is not to be stored, but as much of it must each time be taken direct from the field as is wanted for daily consumption.
