"If he offer a lamb for his oblation, then shall he offer it before Jehovah;" — Leviticus 3:7 (ASV)

A lamb. —Better, a sheep, as it is rendered in Leviticus 1:10; Leviticus 7:23; Leviticus 22:19; Leviticus 22:27; and so forth, since the word denotes a full-grown sheep.
