Charles Ellicott Commentary Leviticus 8:5

"And Moses said unto the congregation, This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded to be done." — Leviticus 8:5 (ASV)

This is the thing which the Lord commanded. —That is, these are the instructions which are given in Exodus 29:1-37, and which Moses now published to the assembled representatives of the people.
