"For he shall be delivered up unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and shamefully treated, and spit upon:" — Luke 18:32 (ASV)

He shall be delivered unto the Gentiles.—The words are nearly the same as in the other Gospels, but the spitefully entreated is peculiar to St. Luke.
