"saying that the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again." — Luke 24:7 (ASV)

Into the hands of sinful men.—The adjective does not appear in the earlier report. It is probably used here, more or less, in its popular Jewish meaning, as applied to sinners of the Gentiles (Galatians 2:15).
