"And behold, men bring on a bed a man that was palsied: and they sought to bring him in, and to lay him before him." — Luke 5:18 (ASV)
Which was taken with a palsy.—Literally paralysed, or palsy-stricken, a somewhat more technical, and therefore characteristic word than the “sick of the palsy” in the other Gospels.
