"For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in his own glory, and [the glory] of the Father, and of the holy angels." — Luke 9:26 (ASV)
In his own glory, and in his Father’s.—The first part of the clause is peculiar, in this report of our Lord’s words, to St. Luke, and presents a point of agreement with those recorded in John 17:5.
