"For the priest`s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of Jehovah of hosts." — Malachi 2:7 (ASV)

Compare Deuteronomy 33:10.

Keep. — Not as in a repository, but rather, observe (Zechariah 3:7) — that is, speak in accordance with the knowledge of God, as revealed in the Law.

Messenger. — Literally, angel. (See Note on Malachi 3:1.)
