"And he took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands upon them." — Mark 10:16 (ASV)

And he took them up in his arms.—Better, folded them in His arms, leaving the question whether they were lifted from the ground open. The word is used by Saint Mark only. The actual “blessing,” though implied in Saint Matthew, is also explicitly mentioned by him only.
