Charles Ellicott Commentary
"Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith cometh to pass; he shall have it." — Mark 11:23 (ASV)
Those things . . . he shall have whatsoever he says.—The better manuscripts give, “that the thing which he says comes to pass,” and “he shall have it.” The promise is specific rather than general in its form, and so prepares the way for the wider generalisation of the next verse.
