"And it was the third hour, and they crucified him." — Mark 15:25 (ASV)

It was the third hour.—The precise statement of the hour is peculiar to Mark, but it agrees with the narrative common to him, Matthew, and Luke concerning the darkness that came over the land at the sixth hour.
