"And on that day, when even was come, he saith unto them, Let us go over unto the other side." — Mark 4:35 (ASV)

And the same day.—Better, in that day. See Notes on Matthew 8:23-27. The connection of the events, as given by Saint Mark, seems to be precise enough, but it differs widely from that in Saint Matthew and Saint Luke, and it must remain uncertain which was the actual order.

The other side.—The voyage was from Capernaum—from the west to the east side of the lake.
