"and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse," — Mark 5:26 (ASV)

Was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse.—The fact is the same as in Luke 8:43, who, however, does not mention that she grew worse, but it is, as usual, expressed more graphically.
