"send them away, that they may go into the country and villages round about, and buy themselves somewhat to eat." — Mark 6:36 (ASV)
Into the country.—Better, the farms—i.e., the enclosed, cultivated land, and what belonged to it.
And buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.—The better manuscripts give simply, buy themselves what they may eat.
