"but [to go] shod with sandals: and, [said he], put not on two coats." — Mark 6:9 (ASV)
Be shod with sandals.—The word occurs again in Acts 12:8. It describes obviously the shoes worn by the poor as distinguished from those of the more wealthy class, the sole of leather or wood fastened over the instep by strong leather thongs.
