SCRIPTURE

"The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity," — Matthew 13:41 (ASV)

His angels... his kingdom — The vision of the One who stood before people outwardly as the carpenter’s son stretches forward to the distant future and sees that the angels of God and the kingdom are both His.

All things that offend — This literally means all stumbling blocks, a term explained by the following clause to include all who work iniquity. By its nature, this interpretation recognizes only the broad divisions of good and evil, leaving the apportionment of rewards and punishments, according to their varying degrees, to be filled in later.
