"He that hath ears, let him hear." — Matthew 13:9 (ASV)

Who hath ears to hear—The formula had been used, as we have seen before (Compare the note on Matthew 11:15). It was probably familiar in the schools of the Rabbis, when they were testing the ingenuity or progress of their scholars.
