SCRIPTURE
"and brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their garments; and he sat thereon." — Matthew 21:7 (ASV)
They set him thereon — that is, on the garments which served as a saddle. Our Lord rode on the colt, and the ass followed, or went along by His side. Saint Mark and Saint Luke mention the colt only.
