SCRIPTURE

"Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath." — Matthew 24:47 (ASV)

He shall make him ruler — These words are noteworthy, as they are among the indications that the work of the faithful servant does not cease, either after their removal from earthly labor or even after the final consummation of the kingdom.

Beyond the joy of the beatific vision, or what is represented to us as the peace of Paradise, there will still be work to be done. This work will be analogous to the training the person received here, and in it there will be scope for all the faculties and energies that have been disciplined and developed in this way (Compare the notes on Matthew 25:21; Luke 19:17).
