SCRIPTURE

"And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness." — Matthew 9:35 (ASV)

And Jesus went about — This verse is nearly identical to Matthew 4:23 and describes our Lord’s second mission circuit in Galilee. He was likely accompanied by His disciples, but He had not yet given them delegated authority as His “apostles,” or representatives. This is clearly the beginning of the section containing the great discourse of Matthew 10, intended to lead up to it.

Every sickness and every disease — This refers to every variety or type, rather than every individual case. We must believe that the work of healing was dependent, as before, on the faith of those who came seeking it. Of the two words, the first is stronger in the Greek. Although the distinction between the English words is not sharply defined, it might be better to swap their translations.
