"And he arose, and departed to his house." — Matthew 9:7 (ASV)

He arose, and departed to his house —St. Mark adds his usual “immediately”; St. Luke, that he went “glorifying God.” We can picture the exultant joy of the soul freed from the burden of its sins and rejoicing in the new vitality of the body.
