Charles Ellicott Commentary Nehemiah 3:17

"After him repaired the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next unto him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, for his district." — Nehemiah 3:17 (ASV)

The Levites. —The circuit is coming round to the Temple.

Rehum the son of Bani. —The Levites were under him as a body.

In his part. —The other part of the Keilah district (now Kila) is in the next verse.
