"And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, [that appertained] to the throne of the governor beyond the River." — Nehemiah 3:7 (ASV)

To the throne. — To the seat of the governor of the whole district on this side of the Euphrates: his residence when he came to Jerusalem.
