Charles Ellicott Commentary Numbers 15:23

"even all that Jehovah hath commanded you by Moses, from the day that Jehovah gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations;" — Numbers 15:23 (ASV)

And from this point forward.— Rather, and onward, or from then on. There is nothing in the word used here to indicate whether or not the reference is to legislation from a later date than when the words were spoken. The starting point is expressed in the preceding words. Compare Isaiah 18:2, where the meaning seems to be up to the present time, and Ezekiel 39:22, where the reference is to the indefinite future.
