"She crieth in the chief place of concourse; At the entrance of the gates, In the city, she uttereth her words:" — Proverbs 1:21 (ASV)

Crieth. —She cannot bear to see sinners rushing madly on their doom. (Compare to Christ’s weeping over Jerusalem, Luke 19:41; and Romans 9:2 and following; Philippians 3:18 and following).
