Charles Ellicott Commentary Proverbs 11:21

"[Though] hand [join] in hand, the evil man shall not be unpunished; But the seed of the righteous shall be delivered." — Proverbs 11:21 (ASV)

Though hand join in hand.— For this sense, compare Isaiah 28:15 and following. The passage may also mean “hand to hand,” i.e., from one generation to another; or, what is most probable, “the hand to it,” i.e., assuredly. For the general sense of the verse, compare Psalms 37.
