"The simple believeth every word; But the prudent man looketh well to his going." — Proverbs 14:15 (ASV)

Believeth every word. And so, having no fixed principles to guide him, he often takes a wrong step; while the prudent man considers well (Proverbs 14:8) where each step will lead, and therefore does not go astray.
