SCRIPTURE

"A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil; But the fool beareth himself insolently, and is confident." — Proverbs 14:16 (ASV)

A wise man feareth. (Compare to Proverbs 3:7.)

The fool rageth. He gives way to passionate excitement and is confident in his own wisdom; he has no quietness and confidence (Isaiah 30:15) in God.
