Charles Ellicott Commentary

Charles Ellicott Commentary
"It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife; But every fool will be quarrelling." — Proverbs 20:3 (ASV)
But every fool.— Self-willed person. (Compare to Proverbs 1:22.)
Will be meddling.—Or, rather, showing his teeth: thinking that his own personal dignity is at stake.
