SCRIPTURE

"Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? Who hath complaining? who hath wounds without cause? Who hath redness of eyes?" — Proverbs 23:29 (ASV)

Wounds without cause? —Which might have been avoided, and which serve no good end.

Redness of eyes? —Rather, dimness.
