Charles Ellicott Commentary

Charles Ellicott Commentary
"The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit Than seven men that can render a reason." — Proverbs 26:16 (ASV)
Seven men. —A round number. (Proverbs 6:31; Proverbs 24:16.)
That can render a reason— that is, give a sensible judgment on any matter submitted to them.
