Charles Ellicott Commentary Proverbs 28:12

"When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; But when the wicked rise, men hide themselves." — Proverbs 28:12 (ASV)

When righteous men rejoice— that is, prosper, or triumph.

There is great glory. —Men rejoice, and array themselves in their most festive attire.

A man is hidden.— Literally, is sought for. They hide themselves for fear , and must be sought for, in order to be found.
