SCRIPTURE

"A man that is laden with the blood of any person Shall flee unto the pit; let no man stay him." — Proverbs 28:17 (ASV)

A man that does violence to the blood of any person.— Rather, that is burdened with his blood, has willfully murdered anyone.

Shall flee to the pit.— Fulfilling the curse of Genesis 9:6.

Let no man stay him — that is, attempt to rescue him from the punishment he has deserved.
