"Blessed is the man that heareth me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors." — Proverbs 8:34 (ASV)

Watching daily at my gates. A figure taken from an ardent scholar waiting until the doors of the school are opened, and he can begin his studies. Or it represents a courtier expecting the appearance of his sovereign, or a lover expecting that of his beloved .
