Charles Ellicott Commentary Psalms 128:6

"Yea, see thou thy children`s children. Peace be upon Israel." — Psalms 128:6 (ASV)

Children’s children. —Dr. Perowne illustrates from Virgil: “adspicies ... natos natorum et qui nascentur ab illis.” (Compare to Zechariah 8:4-5.)

And peace ... —The conjunction spoils the passage. The psalm concludes with the prayer, “Peace upon Israel.” (Compare to Psalms 125:5.)
