SCRIPTURE

"Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; For in thee do I trust: Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; For I lift up my soul unto thee." — Psalms 143:8 (ASV)

In the morning.— Compare to Psalms 90:14. The expression either means “early,” or is figurative of the dawn of hope and salvation.

The way in which I should walk— that is, the way of both duty and safety.

I lift up my soul.— Or, my desire.
