"Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets." — Psalms 18:42 (ASV)

Before the wind. —In Samuel, the weaker “of the earth.”

Cast them out — i.e., sweep them before me. In Samuel “stamp and tread them out.” So Septuagint here “grind,” or “pound.”
