"They are bowed down and fallen; But we are risen, and stand upright." — Psalms 20:8 (ASV)

Stand upright. —We seem to see a whole battle fought before our eyes, in which those formerly struck down rise, and returning to the fight, fight off their foes, and in their turn strike them down. “We were fallen, but have risen, and stand upright.”
