Charles Ellicott Commentary
"And now shall my head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me. And I will offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto Jehovah." — Psalms 27:6 (ASV)
Sacrifices of joy. —Literally, of shouting; so Septuagint and Vulgate, hostiam vociferationis. The custom of blowing trumpets (Numbers 10:10) at the time of the burnt offering illustrates this expression even if there is no direct allusion to it.
I will sing, yea. —Better, I will sing and play.
