Charles Ellicott Commentary

Charles Ellicott Commentary
"Jehovah is my strength and my shield; My heart hath trusted in him, and I am helped: Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; And with my song will I praise him." — Psalms 28:7 (ASV)
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. —Better, dances for joy, as in the Prayer Book. Another possible translation is, “And when I have been helped my heart will dance for joy.”
With my song. —Literally, from my song, but the reading is doubtful. The Septuagint has my flesh has flourished, which is probably correct.
