"Jehovah is their strength, And he is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed." — Psalms 28:8 (ASV)
Their strength — that is, the strength of His people, who are throughout in the poet’s thought, even if it is the individual and not the community that speaks. The Septuagint and Vulgate read “to his people.”
