"But one passed by, and, lo, he was not: Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found." — Psalms 37:36 (ASV)

Yet he passed away. —This should be, And there went one by, and so on. Septuagint and Vulgate have, “And I passed by.” (Compare with the Prayer Book version.)
