"Thou hast put gladness in my heart, More than [they have] when their grain and their new wine are increased." — Psalms 4:7 (ASV)
You have. —Either You have put a gladness in my heart more than when their corn and new wine are plentiful, or, “More than when one has much corn,” etc. The expression is one of pregnant brevity for, “A gladness greater than that when corn and wine are plentiful.”
