"Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, Whom thou shalt make princes in all the earth." — Psalms 45:16 (ASV)

Whom thou mayest make princes.—Historical illustrations have been found in 1 Kings 22:26, where Joash, David’s son, appears as a governor or a prince of a city , and in the division of his realm into principalities by Solomon (1 Kings 4:7).
